Leh Ladakh Tours Packages 2016
Ladakh has emerged as the new tourist destination among the
global visitors as it once used to be a disputed part of India. Having the
influence of Tibetan culture, its capital Leh is still known as the little
Tibet. Leh is located at an altitude of 3524 meters above the sea level and `connects
via National Highway 1D to Srinagar. Leh Ladakh is the part of Indian state
Jammu & Kashmir and has increased the touring options in the state. Leh and Ladakh tourism has been
promoted on a large scale by the Indian government and now all the luxurious
facilities can be found in the city.
Sparsely populated Ladakh is well summoned by the Kunlun
mountain range in the north and the main Great Himalayas to the south. It is
the home of some of the ancient monasteries made in around 11th century.
It offers home to thousands of monks while some of the ancient temples can also
be witnessed in the monastic complexes. Indus River is called the backbone of
Ladakh as some of the ancient and modern cities like Shey, Leh, etc are located
close to this river. The Leh town is the main town of the Ladakh which is still
dominated by the now ruined Leh Palace or the former mansion of the royal
family of Ladakh.
With the passage of time, Ladakh has topped the popularity
charts among the tourists for enjoying vacations in the serene environment. The
amazing views and great flora and fauna have made it popular among the tourists.
The snow clad mountain ranges do the favor of the tourists more obsessed with
adventurous activities. Skiing, trekking, rafting and skating etc make the
visitors crazy to obtain some experience in the tranquil arena like of no other.
With this hike in the number of touring options in Ladakh and hence the tourists,
the accommodation and other facilities have also seen great amendments in the
recent years.
